Tips To Relieve Rosacea

Rosacea is caused from increased levels of inflammatory proteins (cathelicidines) that contribute to the redness, dilated vessels and the red inflammatory bumps that you may notice on your skin.

Dermatologist all agree that genetic, environmental and life style factors absolutely play a role in rosacea. You likely notice when you are under stress that your rosacea will flare up. Other common triggers for flareups are sun, heat, wind, exercise and alcohol.

Finding out what your triggers are and avoiding them as much as possible along with eating an non-inflammatory diet – rich in antioxidant containing foods, good fats and oils – can have a big impact on your skin and your overall health.

Also, sunscreen helps prevent flareups, but look for 100% mineral sunscreen as they work the best for rosacea.

Beyond managing the above factors, dermatologists also recommend selecting skincare that is formulated for sensitive skin with no fragrance and using natural and organic ingredients.

They recommend specifically looking for products that are formulated with anti-inflammatory ingredients and high in antioxidants to calm and sooth your rosacea.

Simple 3-step Regime We Recommend to Try:

STEP 1

In the morning, simply wash your face with warm water and pat dry. Because your skin is sensitive you want to avoid over cleaning it to protect its microbiome.

I recommend that you use our CLEANSE Face Wash only at night to remove makeup and sunscreen. Shake it well and use just a small dab to gently wash your face. You can use an extra dab to remove your makeup as long as it’s not waterproof. I prefer doing this than use a makeup remover as they are usually full of harmful ingredients. The natural I makeup removers tend to be too oily and leave a residue which I’m not a fan of either.

STEP 2

All three of our serums are beneficial for rosacea. Use the Vitamin C and Triple Hydrating serums in the morning and our Revitalizing Probiotic Serum at night – it contains 5% Niacinamide which dermatologist love for treating inflammation skin issues such as rosacea.

STEP 3

Apply our REJUVENATE Probiotic Night Cream, both morning and night, over top of the serums.

Our HYDRATE Probiotic Day Cream may be used as well, but it has a light gel like texture and I find that more people with rosacea prefer the night cream.

ONCE A WEEK
