Vanessa @goalstogetglowing PURIFY Review

Today I tried out this clay mask that Nayelle kindly sent to me, and I really liked it! Unlike the GlamGlow SuperMud mask, when I washed it off, my face didn’t feel starved for hydration. But I did still feel like some gunk had been pulled out (especially on a blemish on my jaw line). And I was left with smooth, happy skin. I still did a full hydrating routine after the mask, because I always feel like that is needed after a clay mask. (For full routine watch my Instastory).

The mask has a slightly runny consistency and is easy to apply. Also, it wasn’t a pain to wash 🙌🏻👍🏻It has a subtle orange scent which comes from the orange peel oil in the ingredients. Speaking of ingredients, I like that they were simple without a bunch of unnecessary fillers. Sea Silt (Glacial Oceanic Clay), Propanediol, Hydroxyacetophenone, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan) Powder, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil.

Some things to note about the ingredients👉Carrageenan is a water-binding agent, which means it helps hold water onto the skin, increasing hydration.

Here is what #nayelle had to say about the main ingredient, glacial oceanic clay: it is composed of 60 rare earth minerals with sea ions differentiating it from any other clay on the market. When the clay is applied to the skin, the impurities, which are positively charged, get bound to the clay’s powerful negative charge much like a magnet and ultimately get rinsed away with the removal of the clay. The clay also uses its osmotic strength to pull moisture up from deep inner tissues to hydrate the skin.

Interesting, right?!

I think I will use this mask as a spot treatment. And I can see myself using this a couple times a month as a full face mask (particularly around times of the month when my skin is extra greasy and congested).

Vanessa also reviewed REJUVENATE Night Cream.  For someone that doesn’t use a lot of moisturizers I love this one. So does my husband and mom and we have 3 different skin types. It has never broken me out, helps with flakeys, has great ingredients, makes my skin feel nourished and plump and has airtight packaging. It’s fantastic.
